In case you missed the earlier master post, Urasawa Naoki-sensei's Pluto seinen manga and Nanba Atsuko-sensei's shōjo series Sprout are expected to premiere in the second week of June.
According to Wikipedia, the popularly and critically-acclaimed Pluto, which is serialized in Shogakukan Big Comic Original magazine, reimagines the events and characters in [Osamu Tezuka-sensei's] Astro Boy story 'Chijou saidai no robotto' ('The World's Strongest Robot').
Urasawa-sensei's take follows Europol robot detective Gesicht as he attempts to find out who is behind the serial murder of humans and robots.
Pluto was awarded an Excellence Prize for manga at the 2005 Japan Media Arts Festival, and copped the Grand Prize in the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize for the same year.
Meanwhile, Sprout is reportedly for those who like their shōjo stories in the sweet and low-key Usami Maki-sensei vein—regardless that Nanba Atsuko-sensei (Senpai to kanojo, released in Indonesia as My Senior) serializes for Kodansha Betsufure, while Usami Maki-sensei (Haruyuki Bus or Bus for Spring) illustrates for Shogakukan Betsucomi. The slice of life romance drama comedy stars the very cute Ikenouchi Miku whose life undergoes upheavals that leave her with—among other things—a new roommate. (Snap synopsis rewrite from In the Water's summary, as excerpted by Baka-Updates Manga).
Aside from these two premieres, the rest of the m&c! manga streeting in or around 9 June are installments of continuing shōnen, seinen, and shōjo series, among them, Alive - Saishū Shinka teki Shōnen, Special A, and Shanimuni GO.
