Fullmetal Alchemist 16, MAR Omega 4 of 4, Mieru Hito 7 of 7, School x Fight 1 (Elex Media 3 December 2008 manga)

鋼の錬金術師 16

Elex skedding the Mieru Hito finale has set forum regulars speculating over when the MIA volume 6 would eventually show up in stores (expectations run high for a simultaneous release).

The conclusion (and hopefully, the penultimate) to Iwashiro Toshiaki-sensei's They're heeere ghosts, ghosts, and more ghosts manga is supposed to street next Wednesday with two other ending series: MÄR Omega and The Flower Fairies Wings manhua (SPOILERY summary further down) — PLUS the latest volume of Arakawa Hiromu-sensei's Fullmetal Alchemist (Edward's baaaaack!)

New series Two manga—one shounen and one shoujo—debut this list. The new shounen series, which succeeds the just-concluded Dan Doh!! Xi (virtual Pocky's go to whoever went, Dan Doh!! Next Generation!), continues the saga of young golfer Aoba Dandoh.

Meanwhile, the latest shoujo addition is Hara Asumi-sensei's School x Fight, serialized in the Indonesian Nakayoshi. If you follow this series in Naka, then you won't need my translation of the synopsis (after the manga list).

BTW. Another ONE PIECE set. This time, volumes 11 to 20 go for IDR 135,000, just like the Naruto box releases.

New Series: AAA
As I mentioned in the earlier Level manga post, the December monthly Komikologi newsletter reveals that a new romance comedy will serialize in Naka 63: AAA (Triple A) by Fukushima Haruka-sensei, creator of Cherry Juice and Otona ni Nuts. Below is my snap synopsis, adapted from Divine Sanctuary's (Baka-Updates Manga encyclopedia entry) and Komikologi's December blurb:

Having fallen for a really smart, yasashii kind of bishie, Ogata Aoi ends up attending the exclusive school called AAA. While she enrolled there looking for her Mr. AAA Right, Aoi instead meets Mr. CCC Wrong from the school next door! To make things even more confusing, why does this gang leader have the same name as Aoi's first love??

Baka-Updates Manga suggests The Devil Does Exist, M to N no Shouzou, and Sugar Family (among others) as possible reads if you like this 3-volumes-and-counting shoujo manga. I'll go the opposite route and check out this Nakayoshi issue for Triple A.

スクール×ファイト 1

New Series: School x Fight
by Hara Asumi

Just because she helped the school "Prince" Ryo, Hayasaka Mirai ends up in the elite 3-1 class. The place positively crawls with rich kids, making a discomfited Mirai sympathize with the nearest fish out of water.

Hmmm. Reminds me of Imadoki! except with a depressed sounding Tanpopo... (or that could just be my (mis)translation)

The Flower Fairies Wings 2 of 2
by Nell

Xiao Que disguises herself as a palace servant to help patch things up between the Elf King and Yue Jian's father, apparently estranged brothers. While in the palace, she discovers that she and Jie Cao are cousins.

What will become of Xiao Que and Jie Cao's love story now?

Okay, so, they're Not blood siblings, but the sudden plot twist's still close enough that we can predict with 99.99% accuracy what's gonna happen...

(School x Fight and The Flower Fairies Wings synopses translated from the Komikologi Elex December 2008 issue by huamulan03)

The GET! popularity contest

Aside from Hagaren 16, Mieru Hito 7, and MÄR Omega 4, these next installments have some vocal followings: Adachi Mitsuru-sensei's Cross Game 11 and Touch 10, Dragon Drive 9, Eat-Man 6, and the second to the last Kagetora (volume 10).

Got The Flower Fairies WINGS 2 of 2 and the first School X Fight from this batch. Naka 63 (and the first installment of AAA (Triple A)) will just have to wait until I go back to get the latest HanaLaLa. Too. Frickin'. Full! (Gramedia, that is, though not as packed as XXI with people trying to get tickets to twilight...)

There are some error in The Flower Fairies Wings 2 translation.

Is it the Gloria turn name into Victoria?

And the last scene of the end told that Xiao Que went to human world to search her biological father.
Is it mother suppose to be?

@ Jasmine-san,
Really? I'll be on the lookout for these snafus. Although I'm not really surprised. In the first Flower Fairies Jie Cao's name is sometimes "Xiao" Cao...
