CM.B.'s Sakaki Shinra rendezvous+es with Q.E.D. Shomei Shuryo's Touma Sou in Egypt. But while Touma probes into the mystery surrounding a pharaoh's necklace in the earlier-released Q.E.D. volume 28, in C.M.B. volume 6 which streets next Wednesday, Shinra buries his nose in a canopic jar, one of those stone-carved or pottery jars the ancient Egyptians used to preserve mummies' internal organs.

The January Komikologi blurb explains that Shinra flew to Egypt to investigate a series of murders that started with the destruction of one of his mother's "heirlooms." (I'm guessing it's not your average chachski.) The Wunderkammer curator is determined to stop the serial killer before s/he can finish off the job of harvesting his/her victims' organs.

How will Touma (I still have to watch the J-dorama!) help his little cousin (who assisted him in dating the pharaoh's necklace in Q.E.D.)? And what's that about Shinra's mom?? I can't wait to find out in this latest C.M.B. manga. (More summaries after the Elex release list.)

I would've loved if the penultimate School X Fight had a synopsis floating around, but it doesn't. *gloom*

Tracking Commitment VS. Fulfillment

Eleven of 54 manga (excluding anthologies) that Elex promised to release in February appear in the above release list. Of course, there are January slackers—two of them: C.M.B. 6 and Imaginary Beasts 9—that were rescheduled. So at the midway mark, Elex has delivered on 28% of its February commitments.

The other titles originally scheduled for January but released the following month (those on this list) are: Dan Doh Next Generation 2, Et Cetera 6, and Ghost Sweeper Mikami 31.
