Edited, III to reflect Level's 26 May 2009 schedule

Iryuu -Team Medical Dragon- © Nogizaka Taro and Nagai Akira/Shogakukan
Per earlier mention, I plan to go on holiday in the middle of the month so I prepared this May manga release to fill in for the weeklies I won't be able to post. This here's Level Comics's list from Komikologi May. For actual weekly manga releases, please check here.
May 2009 "Executive Summary," Part II
Twenty-four manga slated for release, the minimum number of Level's monthly manga commitment.
New manga Level has pencilled in two new (relatively short) manga series for May: A Hint of Purple (Honoka ni Purple) by Anastacia Club manga-ka Saito Chiho-sensei and Strange Tales of Tokyo (Toukei Ibun) by Kajiwara Niki-sensei. The latter is a seinen horror mystery in collaboration with Ono Fuyumi-sensei of Twelve Kingdoms, Ghost Hunt/Akuryou series fame.
Series ending or about to
Only one series concludes—the premature Tetsuzin 4 of 4 (28 April 2009 street date). However, the more celebration-worthy manga tome (for me and Level's Lenny-san knows this because I was pestering her about it) is the penultimate For You in Full Blossom or Hana-Kimi. After all that happened in volume 21, can you blame me?
Advanced titles
Manga that released in advance of the May advisory include: 3X3 Eyes 25, Feverish Girl (Binetsu Shoujo) 5, Little Devil Café (Koakuma Café) 2, and Rainbow 11. The first two released 28 April 2009; the latter pair is scheduled for 5 May.
Just one quibble: Still no Bond 3.

1 comment:
10 more manga--among them, Toukei Ibun 1, Yamiei 6, and TMD 8--remain outstanding from this monthly schedule, putting Level's May fulfillment rate at 58%.
