I will be away on holidays, so resurrecting the Komikologi monthly manga post series this May. For the actual weekly releases I will miss posting, please check the Elex forum, ne?
Elex May 2009 "Executive Summary"
Sixty-five manga, manhwa, and manhua and five manga anthologies slated.
» Edit: Only 34 (plus the five mangazines) nabbed definite street dates. The total skedded fulfills just over half of committed.
New manga and manhwa
Elex plans to launch in tankou — wait for it... Ouran High School Host Club! (Finally! The Indonesian serialization in HanaLaLa is only up to chapter 43 after all.) Also, Juvenile Remix by Isaka Kotaro and Osuga Megumi and the Raiders sonyun manhwa by Park JinJun.
Two new titles this month comprise the beginnings of Hidaka Banri's Akiyoshi Family universe: Pacar 365 Hari (365-nichi no Koibito) and the follow-up For Endless Love (Owaranai Koi no Tame ni). Both are further labeled Serial Cantik, meaning they will release as part of the larger Elex standalone shoujo/josei line. The other Akiyoshi-ke titles are Ari no Mama no Kimi de Ite, Uta wo Kikasete, and Sekai de Ichiban Daikirai. (I hope Elex publishes these sequels, too, especially That. Last. I Hate You More Than Anyone
One!
» Edit: Look for Juvenile Remix and the inceptive Akiyoshi volumes to release in the coming month(s).
Breasted the tape or on the last lap
Emma Bangaihen and TOTO! finish, as do B'T X and Momo The Girl God of Death. Burning Moon, Dear Boys Act II, and Ranma ½ remain benched as at 27 May. (Dareka doesn't want these series to wrap?)
As for the penultimates, Beauty is the Beast 4, Dewi Karin Chu 6, Dragon Drive 13, Fairy-Tale - Motif Brocade 4, and Rose Hip Zero 4 all secured May berths. Dangun 7, Imaginary Beasts 13, and Rough 11 will just have to try harder next month (or months).
Advance guard
Two volume 2's itch to release in May, preempting their premieres: capeta by Soda Masahito (Firefighter Daigo manga-ka) and Harlem Beat Until Dawn (Harlem Beat wa Yoake made) by Takashima Kazusa, the creator of Wild Rock. Found a similar case in the impatient Godhand Teru 15 and ZIG☆ZAG 7. GHT's most recent volume was 13; ZIG☆ZAG's was 5. Expect the earlier volumes to come out before this quartet does. (I do apologize for that yawningly obvious observation.)
» Edit: Harlem Beat Until Dawn volume 1 and Godhand Teru volume 14 were released 13 May; Harlem Beat Until Dawn volume 2 on 27 May.
Meanwhile, there's a trio of manga belatedly advised, that is, these tankou were already advance skedded: Comic Bomber 11, Lum The Invader Girl 10, and A Story of Heroes 24. All three streeted 22 April. Shonen Magz 59/2009 likewise jumped the gun, releasing on 29 April.

NOTE
[1] Misprint kamoshiremasen but Golden Days 2
appears twice in the May Komikologi. I assume the other was supposed to be Golden Days 3, hence the inclusion in the above list. Similarly, the same bulletin advises that Little Detective Trickstar 10
is expected to street in May; Impossible given that the latest issue out in JAPAN is volume 7. So corrected to volume 5.
[2] Meanwhile, I know SORA - The Wingless Duck 7
is a typo. Volume 6 is the cover of the May Komikologi.
