the leitmotif for this two-manga batch of Level releases ... Battle Royal??
In volume 68 of Hajime no Ippo, the longest boxing manga of all-time
(Komikologi July 2009), Ippo has to go through the Champion Carnival and take down Take Keiichi first, before he can face off with Miyata. Eiji gives Ippo the lowdown on Keiichi; the latter, it turns out, is the one boxer Eiji dreads.
For the first time, Ippo feels uneasy before a fight. But just what exactly has got Eiji so spooked?
Meanwhile in Tokyo Juliet volume 7, there's a new transfer student in town. Hailing from Italy, Konno Risa sports waist-length blonde hair, just like Minori used to. To complicate matters, Minori catches Risa in the act of trying on the wedding gown Akira made! Before she can give the interloper what-fer, Minori receives the shock of her life: Risa is engaged to Akira, and the Minori wannabe is determined to wrest Akira from Minori's "clutches."
So the leitmotif for this two-manga batch of Level releases is Battle Royal??
