Adachitoka and Kawashima Tadashi's Alive - Saishuu Shinka teki Shounen volume 11 ties with Morinaga Ai's My Heavenly Hockey Club volume 9 for the Most Wanted GET! this m&c! manga release. The fourth and final Born to Cook (Mister Ajikko II) checks in at #2 in the popularity stakes, while the conclusion to Hoshino Wakako's Zig + Zag nabs third place.

And while there were no votes for it at the EMO forum when I last checked, I know someone once asked on this blog when the latest installment of Youn JiWoon's Ghost Tales manhwa was going to come out (the last release was in February 2008). Wonder no more, volume 4 releases this Wednesday, March 4.

New manga The Silence in the Daylight is not The Sound of Love. There's another Kawamura Eri manga asplosion detonating here, albeit a mini one (three scheduled). The fourth standalone, The Sound of Love, however, is not Kawamura-sensei's; it's from Nagaoka Yoshiko-sensei, the other manga-ka whose works' licenses must've been an Akita Shoten historical shoujo manga package deal with those of Kawamura-sensei. (Don't take me literally; I don't really know.)

You're never more than six degrees apart, or make that three months away from One Piece volume 50. The half-century marker of Oda Eiichiro-sensei's fantasy adventure manga finally streets next Wednesday, after licensing troubles caused it to be delayed by 12 weeks.

Including One Piece, Elex's 4 March release schedule is half-stocked with legacies from February and earlier. You can see five of them here, but one escaped all the way from November to win (again) the Most Patience-stretching Award. I'm talking about the historical action seinen manhwa, Ruler of the Land or Yul Hyul Kang Ho, one of Elex's top 20 bestsellers for 2008.

Another thing to note: penultimates comprise more than a fifth of the list. There's Dan Doh Next Generation 3 of 4, Et Cetera 8 of 9, Kitchen Princess 9 of 10, and Yukan Club 18 of 19. That's not to say though that there are no concluding or debuting manga. Shugo Chara! starts while the Sherlock Holmes series ends.

Geh. I just realized that this list is shounen-heavy. Very. There are only two shoujo tankoubon here!

huamulan03's latest manga library additions: For You in Full Blossom, HanaLaLa, My Sweet Kaicho, Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu (per 22 February 2009)

Last week's additions to my manga library include yet another 3L Comics-published title, one that I had been waiting for since it promoed in the back pages of Master and I: Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu by Minami Kanan-sensei, incorrectly retitled (grammar-wise) as Today The Love Begin.

Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu 「 今日、恋をはじめます 」 is currently serialized in Sho-Comi; five manga tankoubon have been released as of this February. The first volume is not as overly smutty as those of other Minami Kanan-sensei shoujo series, but that could be because it's early yet. Baka-Updates Manga does bill it as smut. Still, I suggest GET! with this caveat: show your ID, please.
