Ksatria Langit 53, Sparkling Gingachou 2, Let's Meet at the Clinic, Beauty Pop 4 (m&c! 1 April 2009 manga and manhua)

キラメキ☆銀河町商店街 2

Kirameki Gingachou Shoutengai © Fujimoto Yuki/Hakusensha

So I heard that Ksatria Langit 53 is the final volume of this long-running manhua by the Godfather of Hong Kong comics Tony Wong Yuk Long. Get it from your fave book seller/newsstand tomorrow.

Other GET!: If you missed a latter-half-of-the-series volume of Death Note, tomorrow also marks your chance to complete your collection, now that m&c! has reprinted volumes 7 through 12. The bad news is that now each tankou costs IDR 15,000, which carries the moral: Get 'em when they first come out. (*Hiks hiks* I still have to get volume 9 to 12...)

New manga The four new standalones for this Wednesday, however, are still at the IDR 13,800 normal: White Paper Ark, Emotion Springs, Edo's Diary, and Let's Meet at the Clinic. Kawamura Eri-sensei illustrated Emotion Springs and Edo's Diary; both are probably part and parcel of the Akita Shoten historical shoujo series m&c! has been flogging so aggressively since last year. Meanwhile, Let's Meet at the Clinic by Iwaoka Meme-sensei is Hokenshitsu de Aimashou!, originally serialized in Ciao. I don't have anything (as yet) on White Paper Ark by Fujino Moyamu-sensei.

Pluto 3, Grand Sun 1, Innocent Dragon 4, Ah! My Goddess 31, The Magic in Me 2 (m&c! 25 March 2009 manga)

グランドサン 1

Grand Sun © EMURA/Hakusensha

One comment: nice job if you can get it.

Some time, some when — when bodyguards have to, uh, guard bodies, Asahi spends her days protecting aloof, rich boy Sakuya. So goes this summary of Grand Sun, a three-volume shoujo series from EMURA-sensei, the spin-off to the popular W Juliet II.

New manga
Grand Sun isn't a lone new manga for today's m&c! release. Two new standalones, both originally serialized in CiaoLove Comic Lesson by Anan Mayuki-sensei and Nyan Nyga Nyan by Iwaoka Meme-sensei (released in Indonesia as Meong Meong)—add to the two-fifths new manga share. Comprising the last quarter is Hozuki Souta-sensei's Yowamushi's Diary (Yowamushi Nikki), a one-shot fantasy about a teenage boy playing Dad to two keeyoot but troublesome insects, first published by Akita Shoten's Princess Comics imprint.

Continuing series
But the most notable manga this sked are latest installments of previously mothballed series (at least, that's how it felt). I don't even know when the last Ah! My Goddess came out, but volume 31 releases today. As for the fourth Innocent Dragon (which sports the most droolishus, WAFFy cover)—the third tankou of Yamaguchi Miyuki-sensei's Tenkuu Seiryuu was last seen in the vicinity of August 2007.

Oh. And the most popular pick of this list is Urasawa- x Tezuka-sensei's PLUTO 3. (As if that were even in doubt).
