Despite Strunk & White's dictum to say what it is and not what it isn't, this ISN'T the November m&c! release toting the newest Electric Daisy (that one is streeting 11 November); this is the schedule ushering in Special A 15 and Pluto 4.

In the much-awaited, come on, the last volume came out in March Pluto 4, someone controlling a powerful twister is dispatching the world's greatest robots with deadly, one by one efficiency. Will Atom become the next victim?

(m&c! promises that starting from this volume, Pluto will be installing monthly, which means we can look forward to the finale in March 2010.)

Another storm, albeit of the jealous kind, is brewing in Special A volume 15. Finn sees red when the attractive Alisa Apelton makes a play for Ryuu when Hikari and the S.A gang vacation in Finn's home.

New manga

Leading the new November manga is the shoujo horror fantasy Kiruto from Musashi #9 creator, Takahashi Miyuki. Originally serialized in Akita Shoten's Suspiria Mystery, Kiruto was collected in two tankoubon under the Bonita Comics imprint. Its sequel, Kiruto S (Kiruto Second), is on its sixth volume (ongoing).

The biggest ticket premiere is Mauricio De Sousa's Dongeng Klasik Monika 1. This latest from the Brazilian cartoonist might be the The Twelve Labors of Monica series, which plonks Monica down in Greek mythology, but don't take my word for it. I should've asked m&c! but forgot. EDIT: This is apparently the fairy tale series and #1 is Cinderella.

I did inquire about My Secret Life by Midori Yukako (series) and Love Under the Blue Sky by Sakurai You/Blues Yoshi (standalone). The latter stubbornly refuses to give up its origins and from Midori Yukako's formidable backlist, I'm picking out Bengoshi Akane no Jiken File 「弁護士・茜の事件ファイル」 for the former as this josei title spans three volumes. I'll update this post when I get a reply from m&c!. EDIT: Still have no clue which manga these are, but here are the covers (My Secret Life and Love Under the Blue Sky). The synopses can be found after the manga list.

Ah, but Moon Love's Secret by Taamo? Gotta be Koitsukiyo no Himegoto, the heartwrenching story of a proscribed love between a young heiress and a student, set in Taisho era Japan. [Adapted from Aerandria Scan's description]

Other highlights

The adventures of shaman-lineaged ghost buster SoRyun ends with volume 9 of Son ChangHo and Kim ByeongCheol's G-School. Meanwhile, the Salad Days reprint run continues with volumes 6 through 12. These had been advised as early as June.

Magister Negi Magi 20

Series conclusions

Shimaki Ako's shoujo romance Triple Kiss wraps, but before it does, Hikaru first has to harass Yukino by threatening to decamp abroad with Seiji. Yukino's not about to let him, but her determination wavers in the face of memories of her first love returning, making our heroine doubt which of the two boys was her original childhood Prince Charming.

Honey Hunt 1

The child of celebrity parents, Onozuka Yura lives an overshadowed life. Her quiet existence is shattered when her musician father and actress mother announce they are getting a divorce. As if one shock weren't enough, Yura also finds out that her mother has been sleeping with Yura's best friend (and potential love interest) Shinsuke. Abandoned, Yura decides to enter showbiz, and her father's former agent Mizorogi Keiichi conveniently shows up to take Yura under his wing. Yura manages to land the plum role in an upcoming TV drama, catching the eye of composer Minamitani Q-Ta and that of his twin brother Haruka, the male lead in the drama Yura is starring in, while she's at it.

Elex's November opening salvo unleashes Pandora Hearts' Xerxes Break, The Ruler of Nabari's Kumohira-sensei and over 11 × 4 assorted manga supporting characters, protagonists, and antagonists into the fray, but holds in reserve antihero Sebastian and Black Butler volume 2. Nik counsels patience.

Patience automatically brings up I Hate You More Than Anyone (Sekai de Ichiban Daikirai) by Hidaka Banri, which is Forbearance Rewarded finally premiering this sked. The debut deserves a deluge of kawaii plushies, if not an above-the-fake-cut promo spot. But as this fifth in the Akiyoshi-ke shoujo series has been lingering around this blog since July (thanks to Komikologi advisories), its hyping can linger some paragraphs (and a manga list) more to lemme finish my Nabari no Ou and Pandora Hearts babble.

The Ruler of Nabari 3

Just as Kumohira-sensei and comrades are wracking their brains for ways to infiltrate the Togakushi village for its forbidden art scroll, the director of Fog Blue and Togakushi village chief Oda Yae appears — with an assignment for our Banten ninja. The mission: assassinate a nuclear scientist named Frosty, in return for the Togakushi Kinjutsusho. Kumohira-sensei agrees, little knowing that Frosty has hired Iga Grey Wolves bodyguards, one of whom is Yoite. Concluding series

MisuFuru—properly Mr. Fullswing, Suzuki Shinya's baseball comedy parodying other famous manga—ends with the release of volume 24, as does Hwang MiRee's soonjung manhwa Sexy Simpleton, with Mi ju and Yu jin future-bound in volume 8. Or are they? At the last minute, Mi ju grabs the horse's reins and charges into the golden palace.

Issue 65 of Shonen Magz is the first monthly anthology to street this month. Spotlit is Mashima Hiro's shounen fantasy Fairy Tail which grabs the front cover, probably to tie in with the anime top of mind. The sole hype spot in Elex's November Komikologi bulletin, however, belongs to Captain Sanada. Why? Because he's coming to Jakarta, Indonesia! (I don't know which ShoMagz serial this blurb refers to; my best guess is Tokkyu!!, Komori Yoichi and Kubo Mitsurou's Sea SWAT manga, but don't quote me on that.)
