Bleach 19, Venus Capriccio 5 of 5, The Prince of Tennis 42 of 42 (m&c! manga out now)

The upside to delaying a manga sked (as if it were deliberate mode »ON) is that I can say which ones, if any, didn't ship, and for this week, that Batal/Mundur STO contingent counts Shanimuni GO volume 27 and Monika 132 among its ranks. The rest made it into stores as planned.

Akira's dad, who had abandoned Akira and his mom years ago, arrives in Japan. Seeing Akira in the grip of suffering, Takumi barges into Akira's father's hotel and succeeds in getting father and son to mend the rift.

But the upshot of Takumi's meddling is Akira's eventual departure for Germany to live with his dad. Faced with the prospect of losing Akira, Takumi gathers up her courage to confess her true feelings —

— and thus the AkiraTakumi romance reaches its crescendo in the final volume of Nishikata Mai's Venus Capriccio.

Venus Capriccio isn't the only series finale. There's also Konomi Takeshi's The Prince of Tennis which closes the final battle between the Prince and the Child of God with volume 42: DEAR PRINCE. But don't start crying rivers yet. m&c! sez it is working to obtain the license to the sequel The New Prince of Tennis, billed as the start of Ryoma's new legend. (Apparently, the entire 42-volume prequel was nothing but an extended prologue.)

The third concluding manga is Dive!! by Mori Eto & Ikeno Masahiro, which asks the question: which of the 12 male divers will be going on to the Olympics?

m&c! reissues Kirarin Revolution (volumes 1-6) in a box set priced at IDR 89,000. Nakahara An's shoujo series about a girl who becomes a idol has proven so popular with readers that it has been reissued twice (according to m&c!'s Zona tabloid for March). If you missed Kirari's trials and tribs in the entertainment world and her rabu triangle head- and heartaches with Hiroto and Seiji, here's your chance to satisfy your curiosity.

(I would like to point out though that the price of inquisitiveness doesn't come cheap. The box set is only IDR 1,000 less than if you had gotten all six volumes piecemeal.)
