The Elex top DO WANT! manga award goes to Aoyama Gosho's Detektif Conan 59 that continues the FBI's struggle to rescue one of its own from the Black Organization. But can Akai & Co. still be saved? The same Conan tank also tackles the case of attempted murder with volcanic phosphorus.

Meanwhile, two Hakusensha Hana to Yume A-listers make a comeback: Skip Beat!, with volume 18, and Alice Academy (volume 14). In volume 18 of Nakamura Yoshiki's Skip Beat!, Kyoko's acting skills are put to the test when Hizuri orders her to play his teenaged son, much to (real, now older son) Ren's dismay.

In Higuchi Tachibana's Alice Academy 14, Mikan makes a new friend in Koizumi, whose Alice power remains unknown, but who always seems to end up getting Mikan into trouble.
