Quick Summary
A compilation of four short stories:

Boy Meets Girl
Former baseball geek Nishino makes himself over into a hip high school boy. He reunites with his unrequited love in middle school, shy girl Akagawa, during a casual middle school reunion. After some thoughts and multiple encounters, the two are finally able to reach each other's heart.

Masamune-kun's Advice
Cheri-kun, who dreams of becoming a shoujo manga-ka, sights Sakura as his perfect, pure heroine. One day, he catches her in the act and her "pure" demeanor is laid bare before him. Does he dump his manga muse? No, he discovers a new feeling like he never felt before.

Rainbow House
Rinko just got dumped by her boyfriend and is stranded in a Ramen shack. A couple of rants and tears later, a college guy, Tetsunosuke, decides haul her to his apartment temporarily until she gets a proper job. But he's a straight face with no mercy for a jobless girl?

Twinkle Star
Misato wants to be a singer but every audition she attends rejects her for her "ordinary" voice. She decides to give up upon singing until she meets a cheerful street fortune teller who decides to take her out for some fresh air. After venting her anger on a starry sky, she takes back what she said before.

Opinions and ratings
Overall, I give the series a 7.5/10. I love the first one-shot and a guy POV on a shoujo manga is definitely a plus! and also, even though they were short, coming-of-age characters like the ones in these stories is an important substance in a manga, regardless how whiny they are :p (as long as it doesn't go overboard, of course!)

In case you didn't know, Robico has an ongoing series that is currently serialised in Dessert (Kodansha) titled Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, and I'm loving it! Maybe m&c! would like to take a peek at it too? :D

I'm curious about the chara design and art aspects. Your thoughts, Kia-chan?

I didn't know you comment on my post, Niki-chan! I'm sorry and it's been a year >.<

Okay, I don't know whether you've read it or not but the art is rather raw and heavy use of tones but still looks pretty. Love the hair on the boys (I think.. I can't quite reach the book atm, it's on the very back of my manga shelf) it's one of her earlier works so I can cope with that. Not that it matters now anyway? :p

I came looking for my post because I recently found out that Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun is getting an anime for fall. I hope you'll watch it when it comes out :D Oh it'll be directed by the same director as Kimi ni Todoke. More reason to watch?

Gah, I miss talking to you and everyone on Twitter. I'll come back when time permits! *HUGS*
