Iryuu -Team Medical Dragon- © Nogizaka Taro & Nagai Akira/Shogakukan
[First serialized in Big Comic Superior]
Published in Indonesia as Team Medical Dragon by Elex Media/Level Comics
Ryutaro, Akira and Gunji operate on Tahara-san, but blood for transfusion is running low. More blood is on the way, but congestion from a traffic accident delays delivery. Ferrying by helicopter is equally a no-go because of a brewing storm. Finally, Noboru decides to pick the blood up himself, but can he make it back to the hospital in time?
Find the answer somewhere between chapters 123 (卑怯/Hikyou
) and 131 (対自/Tai ji
) of Team Medical Dragon 16.
As for the #1 DO WANT! this Level manga release —
Soul Eater 5 of 19+ by Ohkubo Atsushi
Weapon meisters and partners assemble to mark the school's foundation day. But just like at Sleeping Beauty's christening, one unwelcome witch pops up — Medusa. She imprisons the students before hurrying to awaken Asura, the first Kishin, sealed deep within the building. Fortunately, Sid is able to free the meisters, but can they stop Medusa from unleashing the madness that sleeps in the SPSS (DWMA) underground chamber? [Additions from Wikipedia]
Soul Eater 5 compiles chapters 15 through 18: The Anniversary Celebration,
A Fight to the Death at the Anniversary Celebration (Part 1),
A Fight to the Death at the Anniversary Celebration (Part 2)
and A Fight to the Death at the Anniversary Celebration (Part 3).
New Level series
Level premieres three manga titles—Saito Chiho's Based on a True Story Bronze Angel, Fujisawa Toru's GTO, another sports manga from Kusaba Michiteru, this time with an Amnesia twist, Lost Man—and one BD/bande dessinée series: Rantanplan, the Lucky Luke spin-off starring prison guard dog Rin Tin Can, I mean, Rantanplan, a spoof of Rin Tin Tin, as idiotic as Rin Tin Tin is clever.
Two Rantanplan compilations launch this Wednesday: Rantanplan - Kapak Perang and Rantanplan - Kumpulan Kebodohan. Because I go babble mode ON! on GTO (the First Runner-up DO WANT!) look for the debut previews Below The Cut.

New series continued
Bronze Angel 1 of 7 by Saito Chiho
Russian poet Pushkin falls in love at first sight with the young and beautiful daughter of impoverished nobility, Natalia. Natalia is pressured to marry a rich aristocrat to revive the family fortune. The poor poet Pushkin, albeit a genius, stands no chance of winning his love...or does he?
The Russian poet alluded to is, of course, Alexander Pushkin, considered by many to be the greatest Russian poet and the founder of modern Russian literature,
and also the first Russian to write about love and sex
(according to BBC). His most successful poem is The Bronze Horseman, which stars the equestrian statue of Peter the Great in Saint Petersburg.
Bronze Angel, originally Bronze no Tenshi, was first serialized in Flowers. The shoujo series has been re-released as bunkoban, the fifth streeting in March 2011. There is a one-volume spin-off, Bronze no Tenshi Gaiden.
Manga readers know the name Saito Chiho, Bronze Angel's manga-ka, primarily from Shoujo Kakumei Utena, but Level has also published Saito Chiho-sensei's A Hint of Purple and is continuing to release Ice Forest.
GTO 1 of 25 by Fujisawa Toru
TV Tropes sez: Newcomers unfamiliar with the series should be aware it has (largely) nothing to do with muscle cars,
but I truly doubt anyone on the planet remains unaware of GTO. But just in case, excerpting TV Tropes' synopsis:
Onizuka Eikichi: Twenty-two years old, current virgin, black belt martial artist, former delinquent, seeking direction. What better job for such a man than teaching? Easy hours, and the potential of after-school study sessions with beautiful high school girls... At least, so go Onizuka's daydreams. The truth is, as a new hire at Holy Forest Academy (surprisingly, not a Two Teacher School), he's been put in charge of a class who believe it is their sole mission to run any teacher they're given right out of town.
The same write-up goes on to say how the manga dramedy Great Teacher Onizuka is the story of this (semi-indestructible) man and his continuing attempts to keep from being fired while straightening out the class which has been placed in his care.
And I don't think we need to belabor further, seeing as how Onizuka is practically a trope in his own right. Still, Elex Media Book Review makes a point of mentioning that GTO won the 1998 Kodansha Manga Award in the shounen category, so I'll throw that accolade in, too.
Lost Man 1 of 11+ by Kusaba Michiteru
Matsumoto has no memories of who he is nor where he comes from. All he has is a love for a round object. As he searches for himself, Matsumoto works as a ballplayer for hire, seeking employment wherever in the world he may find it. His first target: Romania's Brasov FC, determined to make soccer's Division 1.
Elex Book Review shares that the seinen sports manga includes football technique explications. Lost Man first serialized in Young Sunday, before moving to Big Comic Spirits after Yansan folded in July 2008.
Kusaba Michiteru-sensei also created the likewise soccer Fantasista and the tennis-themed Look Up! that Elex concluded last January.
