Baka-Updates Manga sez that Japanese manga fans adore Momochi Reiko-sensei for her unflinchingly realistic portrayal of the myriad serious issues facing teens today,
which, regardless of my enduring love for Bond, negates any intention of a My Life GET! (I mentioned I wasn't in the mood for angst.) But perhaps this series is a bit lighter than the Level-published Momochi Reiko manga. (In addition to Bond, Level has also published The Door, Rumour and Secret.)

Strange cases of human combustion in the water bring PSI, a covert organization, out in force. PSI investigator Shirogane Hinako zeroes in on a young boy, Kirisaki Kirio, as the perp behind the supernatural crime.

Out Code was first serialized in Shonen Rival, also the home of Kishimoto Seishi's Blazer Drive.
Author Himenogi Haruhiko only has Out Code in his/her backlist, but artist Suzuragi Karin is credited with manga adapts of video games, most notably of the Higurashi When They Cry dōjin soft sound novel murder mystery series: Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni: Onikakushi-hen (When They Cry - Spirited Away by the Demon Chapter), Tsumihoroboshi-hen (When They Cry 2 - Atonement Chapter) and Matsuribayashi-hen (When They Cry 2 - Festival Accompanying Chapter).
