To Love a Cool Boy compiles three stories:
1) To Love a Cool Boy
Imagine Azusa's consternation when one snowy day, classmate Satsuki glomps her and doesn't let go, saying, “From now on, you're my personal heater!” See, Azusa's metabolism runs faster than most people's: her normal body heat registers above 38 degrees Celsius (over 41° in summer). Meanwhile, Satsuki's thermometer reading plunges considerably below that of Azusa's. So, as the temperature drops, Satsuki glues himself to Azusa. But is Satsuki really just using Azusa?
2) My Lovely Alien
Suzumura Kayo has always harbored suspicions about her smart, athletic, blond-haired, green-eyed classmate Kashiwagi Iori and he proves her suspicions...right?
3) Suzuko's Room
Painfully shy Mizumoto Suzuko gets partnered with class Mr. Popular Mochizuki Suguru for the lunch hour school broadcasts. To cure Suzuko of her shyness, Suguru forces her host an interview segment, Suzuko's Room.

Hanya kisah To Love a Cool Boy
The artwork is quite cute but the story kinda plain. My suggest is rent or borrow first. (I've been very picky about collecting standalones coz of my storage problem.)

Of the three, I like To Love a Cool Boy
the least because aside from a bishie who ties up his hair (at least a tuft of it, in the back) and a spin on a beloved trope, I don't find much in it to recommend. Perhaps it's because of that Opposites Attract that Azusa and Satsuki lack dimension. Even their squabbles come across as flat. Additionally, Satsuki's Because I like you! to explain his “selfishness” doesn't ring true. Sure, there are cute WAFF moments, but largely, I didn't feel any pull to invest in Azusa nor Satsuki.

My Lovely Alien,
meanwhile, I absolutely heart. I like how Kayo mistakes Iori-sama for an ET because of circumstantial evidence and I like her I Want to Believe credulity. But most of all, I lurve how Iori, ousted vanguard of impending planetary invasion, dons a headband with bobbing stars and pursues Kayo after his secret is outed. Pure win.

As for Suzuko's Room,
I can't quite take to Suzuko but I can imagine how hard it must be to overcome diffidence. Suguru's gruff approach to and his motivation for helping Suzuko are credible. I like Suguru's honesty, especially when he allows himself to be Suzuko's last guest. But most of all, I love ... (Sawry, Suguru turned off the mike. You'll have to read Suzuko's Room for yourself to see what happened off-air in Suzuko's room :D)

Verdict: Borrow; if you have IDR 16,500 extra, GET!
