Letter Bee premieres 16 August 2011, Tuesday, 630PM WIB (UTC+7), on Animax Asia and airs every weekday thereafter. It replaces 07-Ghost.
Lag Seeing works as a Letter Bee, a postman entrusted to deliver the hearts of people separated from the ones they love.
I lopped off the Animax synopsis there because I wanted to quote TV Trope's Letter Bee observations first: If you're an optimist, you probably think that sounds really nice. If you're smart, you're probably wondering why an ‘elite cadre’ (the Letter Bees) is needed to deliver the mail.
Because (back to Animax's synop for the answer) Amberground is truly dangerous terrain,
and to deliver those hearts, Lag and the rest of the Letter Bees have to battle a species of giant armored insect who attempt to feed off the ‘heart‘ that reside within these letters and packages.
(TV Tropes points out that's not the literal organ, more like a sort of Life Force.
)
The 25-episode anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot aired in Japan from October 2009 to March 2010, with seiyuu Sawashiro Miyuki as Lag Seeing, Fujimura Ayumi as Niche, Lag's Dingo and traveling partner/bodyguard, and Fukuyama Jun as Gauche Suede, Lag's now-missing rescuer, himself a Letter Bee. (I'm willing to stake everything on that being FukuJun's voice in the Animax ad, which led me to think he was playing Lag.) The sequel, Tegami Bachi Reverse, aired between October 2010 and March 2011, but TV Tropes (again) contributes that the second season of the anime Overtook The Manga, leading to several events to play out a bit different while still telling the same story.
Asada Hiroyuki's Tegami Bachi manga serializes in Jump SQ. Twelve tankoubon have been released as at April 2011. Tegami Bachi is not available in Indonesia; I don't know if it has been licensed, but considering it's a Shueisha manga, chances are dim. I do know, though, that a simplified Chinese version from Chuang Yi (latest volume 5) and a traditional Chinese edition are available. Ever Glory has published 11 Letter Bee - 信蜂 volumes as at 2011.07.21. Kana publishes Letter Bee in French (tome 10 per 2011.06.03).
Letter Bee the anime has two opening themes, the first Hajimari no Hi by Suga Shikao feat. Mummy-D and the second, Love Letter no Kawari ni Konoshi wo performed by Seira. Two ending themes accompany the closing credits: Hatenaki Michi by HIMEKA and Hikari no Kioku by Angelo.
