Tweaked with additional Elex covers and synopses :D

So I'm back with the NikBabble™ — and leading with the cover of Her Idol Boy 1, my prime DO WANT!

(Also, took out the postponed Doraemon Movie: The Doraemons - Operasi Besar Serangga Bersemi)

Her Idol Boy 1 (Elex Media)

Mishounen Produce © Ichinose Kaoru
Hakusensha [First serialized in LaLa]
Published in Indonesia as Her Idol Boy by Elex Media

Kako and Kosei trade their backwoods village for the city, but upon entering Seiryo High, they become the butt of yokel jokes, especially glasses-as-thick-as-Coke-bottoms Kosei. Equally meganekko Kako fumes as she listens to random snobs dis her best friend, and she resolves to ‘produce’ Kosei's high school debut. Armed only with the 98-volume long shoujo classic "Lawrence & Roses," Kako undertakes the daunting task of turning Kosei into Her—and Everyone's—Idol Boy.

Childhood Friends, Country Boy/Country Girl, Image Transformations, Bishounen, Otaku, Popular Friend—and Modeled After a Frilly, Feminist, Old School Shoujo Hero—distinguish Ichinose Kaoru's Her Idol Boy, originally serialized in LaLa as a pinch hitter manga, in case other A-listers couldn't make the deadline (if I remember the Free Talks right). Kako is so successful in producing Kosei, but she fails to anticipate how he extends his new character beyond what she asks for, as Baka-Updates Manga points out in its Mishounen Produce description.

Can Kako live with the Idol Boy she created? More importantly, will she find herself left behind in the wake of his newly found popularity?

Now that I've given in to my Kako and Kousei-sama fangirling, blurbing top GET! (For deets on other Ichinose Kaoru manga, scroll (waaay) down.)

Durarara!! 3 of 4+ by Satorigi Akiyo, Narita Ryohgo

Mikado meets a pretty girl with a mysterious scar on her neck, a scar that makes her the target of the Black Biker. Is her head truly the one the Black Biker lost?

As I sed in the earlier version of this post, going with of 4+ for DRRR!! because that's what it (still) sez over at Baka-Updates Manga.

New! I preview the My 17th Spring finale (volume 2), as well as Blooming Youth 4 after the release list.

New Elex titles: Her Idol Boy - continued

Other Ichinose Kaoru manga
Her Idol Boy or Mishounen Produce represents Ichinose Kaoru's series debut. Her other manga credits, for now, exclusively comprise one-shots that appeared in LaLa (the 2011-vintage butler-troped Soleil) or its sister publications LaLa DX (3 Hearts, 2011; Suits no Kuni, 2010; Megane Danshi Shinkasetsu, 2007) and LaLa Special (Ipaasha, 2008).

Please note that Megane Danshi Shinkasetsu also features Childhood Friends, Glasses, Image Transformations and Suits no Kuni stars a megane salaryman as its iPad- and Twitter-using hero. The poignant Ipaasha is total wub :D

Boy Dolls 2 of 3+ by Hibiki Wataru

Doll Master Ageha and her faithful Boy Dolls Leo and Yuki save errant dolls everyday. That Leo and Yuki can transform into humans at night—after Ageha kisses them—comes mighty handy when dealing with creepy, discontented dolls.

One day, a new student—Kagero—appears in Ageha's school. His universal friendliness rockets him to the top of the popularity charts, and it appears Ageha is not immune to his amicability.

But, of course, someone that awwwfully good must have an agenda... What is Kagero's?

If the 7.5 of 10 rating I gave Boy Dolls 1 doesn't convince you to try out Hibiki Wataru's manga, ogle the volume 2 cover when you're at the book store. You'd swear you're looking at a middle-schooler Yuki and Kaname. :)

Boy Dolls 2 collects Moon Age 5-8 and the Dolls Discussion omake.

☆ Kungfu Boy 4 of 18 Premium by Maekawa Takeshi

Riki's master Soshu-sensei arrives with Shie Fan while Chinmi is studying martial arts using a staff with Riki. Despite his small stature and outward weakness, Shie Fan turns out to be proficient with a staff. Several times Chinmi challenges Shie Fan and as many times, loses. It appears Chinmi must also learn perseverance from Shie Fan, if he is to improve his kungfu abilities.

The August Komikologi notes that Kungfu Boy is among Indonesia's all-time bestselling manga, which makes it practically legendary. Elex has also published the Kungfu Boy side story, Chinmi Other Story: Chinmi & Shie Fan, should you want moar Chinmi and Shie Fan (earlier) adventures.

Instead, let me just add that Iku's parents—who have always nixed the Library Defense Force as a valid career path—have decided to see how their ‘librarian’ daughter is doing at the Kantō Library Base. Oh, noes! :D
