Naruto 53 (Elex Media)

Naruto © Kishimoto Masashi/Shueisha [Serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump]
Published in Indonesia by Elex Media

To obtain the power of Kyubi, Naruto trains on a remote isle of Kumogakure Village. But when he succeeds in breaking the demon fox's seal, the liberated Nine Tails poises to engulf him. Not even Bee can help.

Just as Naruto comes the closest to losing to Kyubi's corruption, a figure from the past intervenes...

Talk about facing your demons! That Naruto volume 53 is titled Kelahiran Naruto or The Birth of Naruto, however, hints at the identity of Naruto's savior. Prepare for poignant :D

Naruto 53 compiles chapters 495–504: Dark Naruto, Defeated!! · Reunion with Nine Tails!! · Nine Tails vs. Naruto!! · My Ma's Red Hair · A New Seal!! · The Birth of Naruto · Nine-Tails Attacks!! · The Fourth Lord's Death Match!! · Minato's Reaper Death Seal!! · Thank You. Box sets: Too Terribly Tempting!
Elex boxes up droolicious that are Good Value — anyway you look at it (them). Volumes 1–3 of Tamura Yumi's Adventure of Cat Mix Toraji fantasy (reviewed »here by Raven-san) and the complete Beauty Honey (Vols. 1–3 of 3) by Matsumoto Tomo both go for IDR 24,000 a box set. The also complete Best Friend Survival! (Vols. 1–2 of 2) by Nakamura Seiko (originally Yuujou Survival!) and Vols. 1–2 of Kodama Yuki's set-in-1960s-Kyushu josei drama Apollon on the Slope (Sakamichi no Apollo) retail for IDR 16,000/set. You can take Vols. 1–7 of Sasaki Noriko's Animal Doctor (Doubutsu no Oishasan) home for IDR 56,000 and I suggest you do as

From sticking an arm into a cow to check its internals, to fighting over which laboratory equipment to buy, to the territorial battles between chickens ... Doubutsu has it!

Per noted, Beauty Honey and Best Friend Survival! sets bundle complete series, but Adventure of Cat Mix Toraji remains current in Japan. Neko Mix Genkitan Toraji vol. 4 streeted February 2011; Elex's most recent release is volume 3 published April 2010. Adventure of Cat Mix Toraji 4, however, is advertised in the October Komikologi, if that entices you any.

Likewise an ongoing, Sakamichi no Apollo released its volume 7 in Japan last February. Elex has (obviously) published two volumes. No word yet on Apollon 3.

While Doubutsu no Oishasan has finished in its home country (was even reissued in eight bunkoban between 1995.12 and 1996.06), Elex's latest is Animal Doctor 8, which streeted last August. This series has been healthily regular in its release sked, hint hint :D

Manga premieres: GOGOGO to the West by Konishi Noriyuki
I'm sure most of us, if not all of us, have bumped into the monk Sanzo and the Monkey King on their Journey to the West sometime, somewhere along the manga road. Gogogo Saiyuki is Konishi Noriyuki's shounen spin on the popular classic. Elex promises a hilarious! ride ahead.

Gogogo Saiyuki Shin Gokuden debuted in 2008 in Corocoro Comic (home of Inazuma Eleven and Dorabase, among others). Elex indicates the manga status in Japan as 1–12 (Ongoing) but I can only dig up to volume 7 (per 28 June 2011). So, that's the volume tally I use.

For other Konishi Noriyuki manga (including another Journey to the West fantasy), scroll down.

Mangazines: Nakayoshi 9/2011 and Shonen Star 17/2011
I fill in the shoujo debuts Elex teases in its Nakayoshi Gress! 9/2011 blurb: Kami Kami Kaeshi by Toyama Ema (Unyuuu~) and SGC! Survival Game Club or Sabagebu by Matsumoto Hideyoshi. No such premieres on the Shonen Star 17/2011 front, but the star in the spotlight is twins-troped AR∀GO by Arai Takahiro. [Babble continued behind the cut]

Fullmetal Alchemist 27 of 27 by Arakawa Hiromu

Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange.
–Alphonse Elric

To retrieve his brother's soul, Edward Elric sacrifices his right arm. But what, Elex asks, is the price for bringing someone back from the dead, without leaving traces of regret in solitude? Yup, Elex waxes poetic as the Indonesian version of Fullmetal Alchemist curtains with volume 27. If you want a non-generic (but still spoil-free) synopsis, here's what VIZ Media sez in its Fullmetal Alchemist, Vol. 27 description: With the help of Hohenheim and their allies, the Elric brothers launch a desperate final attack against the homunculus ‘father.’ But to claim victory, some may have to make the ultimate sacrifice.

FMA 27 contains chapters 107 and 108, The Final Battle and The Journey's End. To ameliorate the “pain” of Hagaren concluding, you get a bonus: the Another Journey's End side story or gaiden. [*NOT Elex chapter titles] (Same   [SPOILER]  T&C about the link apply)

A Balinese dancer is killed by someone in Leak disguise, and it is up to Shinra to uncover the face behind the mask.

Above Elex synopsis refers to Op.44 Leak (Reyakku in katakana) that first appeared in Monthly Shonen Magazine's September 2010 edition. It is the second story compiled in C.M.B. volume 16, which not only features Nanase in Balinese dancer costume on the cover, but also Shinra posing with a barong mask in the background.

The other mysteries collected in this volume are Garis-garis Nazca: The Lines and Geoglyphs of Nazca and Pampas de Jumana (Op.43 Nazca no chijō-e, August 2010 serialization), in which Shinra and Nanase fly off to Peru to help research the ancient geoglyphs but find their scholar contact dead before they arrive; C.M.B.'s take on Tujuh Keajaiban Sekolah: The Seven Mysteries of High School (Op.45 Gakkou no Nanafushigi, October 2010) and Khanjar (Op.46 クファンジャル, November 2010) in which Shinra is called in to authenticate a dubious dagger. If you didn't already adore her for the Blackmail, therefore, Lurve Watashi ni xx Shinasai!—which also currently serializes, albeit highly-sanitized, in NakaGress! as XX Me!!—then you most likely fell for Gokkun! Pucho, considered her best representative work. (Glek! Pucho debuted in February 2007.)

Dragging in Mamacolle (an Elex bestseller) and Koko ni Iru yo! (retitled I am Here!) is prolly overkill, but lemme overkill. AND overkill, with Toyama Ema ongoings not limited to Naka serialization: Hyakuen!, a Square Enix Gangan Online Shounen with Female Lead (volumes 1-4 released in Japan between 2009.12 – 2011.08.22); the seinen Pocha Pocha Suieibu (Houbunsha Manga Time Family, one volume per 2011.05); GDGD-DOGS (serialized in Kodansha Aria, one volume by 2011.10.06); and 1 Love 9 (ASCII Media Works Dengeki Maoh 4-koma, volumes 1-3 released from 2008.11 – 2010.03).

SGC! Survival Game Club by Matsumoto Hideyoshi

The only thing gugel gave up about this ongoing Nakayoshi action shoujo—and that from Kodansha itself—is:

ISBN: 978-4-06-364311-4

So your synopsis guess is as good as mine.

Other Matsumoto Hideyoshi manga
In addition to the elusive Sabagebu, the 2011 Kodansha Manga Awardee in the Children's category, Honto ni Atta! Reibai-Sensei, ongoing serialization in Shonen Rival (latest tankou 9 per 2011.09.02).

Other ongoing series
Aside from already mentioned Nakayoshi pals, Your Melody and Animal Official, both from Fukushima Haruka, Hell Girl Return by Eto Miyuki & Jigoku Shojo Project, Arisa by Ando Natsumi, Love is the Devil by Toriumi Pedoro, A Gift for My Teacher by Yamada Daisy and Little Shugo Chara! by PEACH-PIT & Naphthalene Mizushima continue their serial runs.

Shonen Star 17/2011 ☆ AR∀GO

Shonen Star 17/2011 - FC ARAGO

Shogakukan [Shonen Sunday]

Before I get into Shonen Star 17's ARAGO preview, Imma reprise the series intro I wrote in January: ARAGO (AR∀GO - London Shikei Tokushu Hanzai Sousakan) is a supernatural action mystery in which Arago Hunt is driven to revenge against the monster that killed his parents, even as police officer twin Ewan upholds the side of the law.

Where we are nau~

Rio suspects Arago's sustained lies hide something dark. Meanwhile, Arago can't open up, fearing to invite danger. They quarrel again, and this scrabble comes at a most unfortunate time as Rio afterwards encounters a dangerous adversary Lucian Gardner and his shadow canine, Hades. [Additions from the ARAGO Wiki]

Alongside Arai Takahiro's ARAGO are these Shonen Sunday stars:
