LAST EXILE -Fam, The Silver Wing- premieres 15 October 2011, Saturday, 7PM WIB (UTC+7), on Animax Asia and airs every Saturday thereafter. I've made up my mind! I'm going to steal that ship!
The twin princesses of the Turan Kingdom are attacked by their enemy. Left for dead, their fate changes after the young pilot Fam rescues them.
So goes Animax' synopsis for Episode 1 Open file.
The quote above that is from the main program synopsis that also contains the backgrounder to the Turan Kingdom and Ades Federation conflict, as well as the names of the princess pair under assault (Millia il Velch Cutrettola Turan and Liliana il Grazioso Merlo Turan).
Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing- is expected to span 26 episodes like its much-wubbed kin Last Exile, albeit with a new story, [main] characters, and mechanical designs.
Chigira Koichi returns to direct and Yoshimura Kiyoko heads the series composition. Both are on the script-writing team, along with Kamiyama Shuichi, Suzuki Takaaki and Ayana Yuniko. Kuroishi Hitomi is again responsible for the music, and contributes the Starboard ending theme. Buddy, the opening song, is performed by Sakamoto Maaya. Character design, which you can drool over here, is by Range Murata (Shangri-La).
Toyosaki Aki (Yui in K-ON! and K-ON!!) voices the eponymous Fam Fan Fan, pilot of the vanship Vespa. Yūki Aoi (Sunako in Shiki) is Giselle Collette Vingt. Kayano Ai (Menma, Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai.) and Sawashiro Miyuki (Lag Seeing, Letter Bee) are Princesses Millia and Liliana.
The cast also includes Okitsu Kazuyuki (Hino Akiharu, Ladies versus Butlers!) as Luscinia, the man leading Ades Federation into war, and Matsukaze Masaya (Ootori Kyoya, Ouran High School Host Club; Joseph Jobson, Blassreiter) as Alauda. Last Exile holdovers Noda Junko, Kitamura Eri and Kuwatani Natsuko reprise their roles as Dio Eraclea, Tatiana Wisla and Alistia Agrew respectively.
Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing- airs every Saturday at 7pm WIB and repeats at 1030pm the same day and at 1pm, 630pm and 10pm on the Sunday. For further schedules, check back with Animax Asia.
