Di Balik Jendela Putih Deluxe (Elex Media)

[First serialized in LaLa]
Published in Indonesia as Di Balik Jendela Putih Deluxe by Elex Media

BTW, this is still the MinimaList. I don't have time to fill in (the rest of) the eyecandy and NikBabble™. Yet. Edit: Found the time.

Seiko and Yoshito have been friends since grade school, but only now in senior high does Seiko begin to view Yoshito differently. She doesn't act on her feelings, however, owing to something Yoshito said way back when.

Just as Seiko decides to forever hold her peace, a senior shows up to distract her. Can this senpai, worlds apart from Yoshito, succeed in making Seiko turn away from Yoshito?

Hey, hey, not so fast, Seiko! Though all of the diverse array of characters in the story seem to see it as plain as day, Seiko does not realize Yoshito would like to be more than friends. (Thanks, Stage Storm, for that Shiroi Mado no Mukougawa parting shot.)

Elex describes Di Balik Jendela Putih (Beyond the White Window) as a romance comedy that has stood the test of time—vintage 1980, this one—from the creator of shoujo classic Dunia Mimpi (Kanata Kara). Di Balik Jendela Putih is the latest in the Hikawa Kyoko Deluxe "line" that includes Angin Musim Gugur (Chizumi & Fujiomi 1), Golden Book (Chizumi & Fujiomi 2) and Harmoni (Hoshi no Harmony). Hikawa Kyoko-sensei's latest manga, ongoing in Melody, is Otogimoyou Ayanishiki Futatabi, sequel to Otogimoyou Ayanishiki that Elex licensed and retitled Fairy-Tale-Motif Brocade.

With all that name-dropping, I don't think I need to stress (GET!).

Now for the top DO WANT!

Toradora! 3 of 4+
By Zekkou & Takemiya Yuyuko

Kawashima Ami transfers into Ryuuji and Taiga's class. From the outside, she appears innocent and friendly, but inside she's selfish and rude. How long can she keep up the act?

Two Toradora! 3 postponements within a month and a gap of nearly a year between this and volume 2 don't seem so egregious when you realize that a year also separated the original Toradora! volumes 2 and 3 and 3 and 4.

07-GHOST vol 2 of 12+
By Amemiya Yuki & Ichihara Yukino

Losing his best friend has set Teito firmly on the path of vengeance, but with his current powers, he doesn't stand a chance at survival. Additionally, too many mysteries remain unsolved. Castor offers Teito an alternative: take the clergy examination to become a bishop who can move freely in District 1.

But even as he struggles to unlearn what he had been taught in back in the military to master the Baculus staff, his fast awakening powers soon becomes apparent to those around him. With the guilt of his friend death's still clouding in his mind, will Teito be able to open his heart and make room for a new ally? [Additional commentary from Chuang Yi's 07-GHOST Vol.2 synopsis]

07-GHOST 2 compiles Kapitel (chapters) 6-11: Awakening, Cycle of Rebirth, Mikhail, Atonement, Nightmare [part 1] and Nightmare [part 2]. [*NOT Elex' chapter titles] For the benefit of those who watched the anime first, Kapitel 6-11 correspond to anime episodes 8 through 13.

Twelve 07‐GHOST tankou have been released in Japan as of 25 July 2011.

The Indonesian-English edu-manga series Doraemon: Gadget Cat from the Future ends with volume 10 this sked. If Elex later boxes this up like Lys Lily and Love Chop! below, AND affixed a similarly-droolable price tag, t'would make a great gift. (The other value bundles streeting on the 19th are listed below.)
