Inuyasha 56 of 56, Mixim 11 V7, OverDrive 1 by Yasuda Tsuyoshi (Elex Media 25 January 2012 manga)

PLUS School Rumble volume 13 (fi-nally!), and the first Domitor Leo light novelDomitor Leo 1: Pulihkan Segel Waktu!—that streeted a day earlier, 24 January 2012, and represents the return of light novels in Indonesia.

On a less festive note, Topeng Kaca: Dua Akoya volume 2 (Glass no Kamen vol 46) is postponed. (I knew that double the Glass no Kamen goodness in one street date was too good to be true...)

Over Drive 1 (Elex Media)

OverDrive © Yasuda Tsuyoshi/Kodansha
[First serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine]
Published in Indonesia by Elex Media

Guts have nothing to do with racing, talent or no. What's important is mindset — the will to dedicate yourself to one thing and one thing only. Then there's strength of heart — for power when you most need it!
–Fukazawa

So goes Fukazawa's pep talk to future Tour de France champ Shinozaki Mikoto in this week's Elex debut OverDrive. I assume the quoted Fukazawa refers to Fukazawa Yosuke, the Uncrowned King and school bike club's fanatical captain, and not his little sister Yuki whom Mikoto is crushing on. As Mikoto would become the first Japanese to win the Tour de France, let's sub-title this Weekly Shonen Magazine manga, "The Legend of Mikoto," shall we?

Over Drive was adapted into anime in 2007 by Studio XEBEC (26 episodes spanning manga volumes 1–5 of a total 17). Seiyuu Kaji Yuuki voiced Unpopular Protagonist (or so Baka-Updates Manga users tag) Shinozaki Mikoto, with Yasumura Makoto as Fukazawa Yousuke and Nazuka Kaori as Fukazawa Yuki.

Over Drive isn't the only Elex manga premiere; there's also Aoba Bicycle Shop, which likewise tropes in bikes, but focuses on sales and repairs instead of racing. (Elex obviously wants to ride the current bike craze.) More on ex-Young King seinen Aoba Bicycle Shop, as well as other Yasuda Tsuyoshi shounen series beyond Over Drive, below the cut. For now, the top DO WANT! and the culmination of nearly a decade's-worth of emotional investment.

Inuyasha vol 56 of 56
By Takahashi Rumiko

Ultimate Shikon no Tama battle within the Meido! Will an equally terminal move separate Kagome from Inuyasha forever?

You know that's not so, especially if you (A) watched the anime and/or (B) read the finale in Shonen Star. I just had to stress the Heartwrenching before the Feudal Fairy Tale's WAFFy Happy Even After. :P

The final Inuyasha tankou compiles chapters 549 to 558: Gathering, Collapse, Fall, Naraku's Death, Incident at the Well, High School Life, Darkness, Fate, I Want to Be With You and Tomorrow. [*NOT Elex/Shonen Star chapter titles]

Aoba Bicycle Shop vol 1 of 20
By Miyao Gaku

Aoba Bicycle Shop 1 (Elex Media)

Namiki Bashidoori: Aoba Jitenshaten
© Miyao Gaku/Shonen Gahousha
[First serialized in Young King]
Published in Indonesia as
Aoba Bicycle Shop by Elex Media

Aoba and her father run the Aoba Bicycle Shop on Namikibashi Street. In the course of everyday, they're privy to the unique stories of their customers, who range from a college student who's trying to get to know his real father to a high school boy who can't take being defeated by students at a girls' school to a child ashamed of the family business. What ties them all together — the bicycles Aoba and her dad sell.

A slice of life drama, stemming from Aoba and her father's interactions with their bicycle customers. "Heartwarming" has to be a given. Don't mistake this Aoba Bicycle Shop, originally Namiki Bashidoori: Aoba Jitenshaten first serialized in Shonen Gahousha's Young King, however, with its ongoing sequel Aoba Jitenshaten that also translates to "Aoba Bicycle Shop," but is still running (biking *snort*) in Young King and Young King Ours.

Miyao Gaku is also credited for Neppū no Kazan and Miracle Hime Jubilee, both published under Daitosha's Hard comics imprint (compiled in tankou in 1999.10 and 1999.12 respectively.)
